Our Lessons are taught at Shear Barn Holiday Park, Barley Lane, Hastings, East Sussex, TN35 5DX.
We are delighted that you have joined our Swimming Academy where your child/ren can learn to swim in a safe and professional environment.

About Water Creatures:
Water Creatures Academy of Swimming was founded by Mr. Lee A Cornelius M.S.T.A in January 2011.
Water Creatures is an Academy with personality that offers progressive and structured swimming lessons which are FUN and ENJOYABLE J
Our lessons are available from Monday to Friday at a range of times. We have a variety of lesson types from Parent & Baby, Pre-School, Beginner, Improver, Advanced, 1:1 and 1:2 swimming lessons.
Once your Child has reached their full potential at Water Creatures, they can look to join our sister Academy, LAC Academy – lacacademy.co.uk. LAC Academy, based at Rye Sports Centre in Rye, offers an Advanced Swimming and Lifesaving Club.

Payments / Contact Information:
- E-invoices will be sent by email to inform you of your swimming fees each term
- All e-invoices must be paid by the date set, failure to pay by the set date may mean loosing your space
- Payments can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer
- Our Receptionsit will be at the pool at the start and finish of a term to take payments. If you need to discuss something in between times then you can speak to one of our Lead Teachers or contact us
- If your contact details change then please let us know as soon as possible. Details can be updated by following a link when you receive your e-invoice or by clicking here
Parent & Baby Lessons:
- All babies must wear a swim nappy
- Babies may wear baby wetsuits (optional)
- Bring a warm towel to poolside to wrap your baby up after the lesson
- Pushchairs must not be brought onto poolside
- It is not recommended to feed babies within an hour of the lesson - Bring a healthy snack for afterwards J
All Other Lessons:
- All swimmers must wear suitable 'learn to swim' swimwear - For example, trunk, shorts above the knee and swimming costume
- Swimmers must wear a swimming hat (daytime pre-schoolers are not expected to but it is certainly recommended)
- We do not recommend goggles to be worn in our pre-school and beginner groups but from Improvers onwards it is recommeded for comfort
- It is not recommended to feed children within an hour of the lesson - Bring a healthy snack for afterwards J
Pool Rules:
- When entering the swimming pool, please can you sign in and out at the swimming pool reception - If the pool is closed to the public the signing sheet will be on the Water Creature's desk.
- NO swimmers are allowed to use the swimming pools before or after their swimming lessons unless they have paid admission at the Shear Barn Swimming Pool Reception - Pool rules apply.
- No shoes are allowed in the swimming pool area - If blue shoe covers are not available then it must be bare feet
- No pushchairs are allowed in the swimming pool area
- No eating or drinking is allowed in the swimming pool area or changing area
- Only food and drink purchased at Shear Barn can be consumed on site - This rule applies in all areas of the Park
- No photographs or videos are allowed in the swimming pool area or changing area
- Access to the poolside must be through the changing rooms and not the side door by the pool reception
- Please do not leave your belongings in the cubicles - They are for everyone!
- Only 1 Adult is allowed to accompany a Swimmer to their swimming lesson
- PLEASE RESPECT ALL AREAS OF SHEAR BARN HOLIDAY PARK!
General Information:
- Please look after your belongings whilst you are at Shear Barn Holiday Park. If you think you may have left something behind please contact us at Water Creatures
- Limited parking is available at Shear Barn Holiday Park; please use the parking outside of the main reception building. During busy periods alternative parking will need to be found - There is a pay and display on Barley Lane - Charges apply
- The Swimming pool can be found in 'The Retreat'
